MJ’s Kids Come Out From Under His Shadow

It’s only since the death of their father, pop legend Michael Jackson, that his children have been able to rip off their coverings and appear unashamedly in public. And I bet it’s doing them a world of good!
No more secrecy, coddling, hiding, and paranoia. No more blankets, towels, sheets, drapes, and masks.
In full view, Paris touchingly spoke at dad’s memorial in July, and she and Prince Michael appeared at the Grammys last Sunday to charmingly accept a special tribute for him.
I’m sure they miss daddy and some of the fun games he played, but there must also be a bittersweet sense of relief that they can finally throw away their freak umbrellas and be seen and heard without fear or self-consciousness.

I know I can’t defend Michael forever but;
1) those kids did NOT always have on masks or veils, even with Daddy.
2) When they did, it was ONLY when they were with Michael, and that was not 24/7.
3) If Michael didn’t think paparazzi or too many fans would be around, the kids were mask-free.
4) I argue that their lives were better BEFORE, when not many people knew who they were and what they looked like. This way, if Prince or Paris or Blanket wanted to go somewhere with friends or other family members, etc. they could, and not be harrassed, and just be regular kids.
And they did that a lot.
Now, I know this is not the opinion of the site-owner, and it’s just an article on the kids. (Or it may be your opinion, IDK.) I’m just sick of everyone being rude about Michael, his kids, and their lives.
Michael did what he thought was best, and it worked out pretty well for around 9 years. (before they got a kidnapping threat, Prince & Paris didn’t wear masks, and Michael even did a photoshoot with Prince I, and an interview with Debbie and Prince.)
And I think Paris said it best: “Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could imagine.”
